ALV is ABAP LIST VIEWER.

hai,

alv is nothing but a report..........but its having additional futures than the clasical report...and source code is very simple in this....

we just declare the type-pool : slis.

and use it components..

and call the any two fm given function module ,

reuse_alv_grid_display,

reuse_alv_list_display.

alv- abap list viewer..............which is used to enhance the list report and also it provides some functionality like sorting and column postioning......

Hi,

ALV is a tool that is mainly used for reporting. In ordinary ABAP report u cannot u certain features like column width, colour, sorting etc. it is very simple. declare a type-pool : slis.

store the content u want to display in an internal table and declare a field catalogue( this ic the one, where u declare each and every column of the report, from which internal table it is fetched and what is the heading for it) . if u want an interctive alv u can use events which must be specified in the function reuse_alv_grid_display or reuse_alv_list_display
