Hi,

Can BPC meet the below requirement? If yes, are there any difference between BPC 7.NW and BPC 7.0 w.r.t the below requirement?

Requirement - "The system shall be web-based and running on open standards. It shall not require any client software installation".

thanks/regards,

Lokesh Nandula

The answer you are looking for is Yes, BPC supports a zero footprint, (web-based) client component.

Open standards... yes!

This is true for all known versions.

Should not be any difference between 7M and 7NW.

Adding to what Sorin says, if you are in netweaver version of BPC, you can always do reporting in WAD.

Also, regardless of whetehr you use MS or NW version, if you have BO< you can still run these rpeorts in web without any client software installation.

You can use only IE into SAP BPC but only for simple reports.

Live reports (can be created dynamic) but you can not compare with complexity of Reports from Web Excel.

I will say teh answer is yes - you can use only IE using SAP BPC but in that moment the capabilities of reporting are very limited.

You need installation of SAP BPC client for complex processes and complex reporting.
