For the SAPConsole 6.20 version, we had customized the I/O Engine
(sapVTIO) per SAP documentation to enable interoperability with other
software components.
After upgrading to SAPGui 6.40, we came to realize that the SAPConsole
seems to no longer use the I/O Engine and our custom version of sapVTIO
does not get invoked. There seems to be no place in the SAPConsole
administrator for specifying the I/O engine.
How do we specify the I/O Engine for SAPConsole 6.40?
I appreciate your concern, but
SAPConsole 6.40 does not support to use SAPVTIO engine,
it has its own Engine(in-built).
So, no way can you specify any I/O engine.

In the 6.20 version of SAPConsole, configuration of the I/O Engine allowed for specification of output colors based on console output attribute. How is this accomplished for the 6.40 version of SAPConsole?
Also, where would I find documentation for the sapcnsl.dll API? I have
thus far only been able to find the installation guide and the user's guide for the 6.40 version.
SAP Note 802251 states that SAPConsole 6.40 is backward compatible with SAPConsole 6.20, but the lack of the I/O Engine and its possible configuration seems to be an incompatibility between the two versions. The output colors
cannot be set, and an alternate I/O Engine cannot be specified.
How can we resolve this issue?
