Mambo meets SAP ?

Hello,

using the saprfc I am currently replacing the Mambo (www.mamboserver.com) usermangement with a few scripts that check user logon data against the ABAP users. User rights within the Mambo Portal will be based on Activity Groups (roles).

While I am doing this just for fun to see if I can make it work --- I am wondering if anyone would actually be interested in the finished (GPL'd) product?

It would be easy to create new components/modules that would do other functions (like internet sales or reporting functionality or such things) when using Mambos module and component structure.

Let me know ...

Cheers,

Andi

This seems to have stalled. I am evaluating mamboserver as a potential replacement for my company site.

It seems like there is lots of scope for doing some interesting Mambo meets SAP type things.

Although I too have many responsibilities. I will pursue this as I can.

regards,

Nigel

Hello Nigel,

our Project to integrate Typo3 with R/3 will start soon. We already replaced our own written CMS with Typo3 for our corporate website. We will use Web Services to connect to our R/3 and CRM.

Hello Andreas,

we are doing a similar thing for Typo3. We want to use Internet Users created via SU05 for the frontend login (Customers and Customer Employees) and Microsoft Active Directory for the Backend (Admin, Editor) login. Hope we can publish this Typo3 Modules also as GPL.

Sounds good! can't wait to hear more though, you should write a weblog about the beginning of the project and give the link to SourceForge and all now. If you are not already approved as a weblogger just fill out the application and let me know I will approve you.

Would love to hear about it, interested in writing some weblogs about it?
