I'm assuming you want to extract data from R/3 to BPC and not the other way round?

R/3 to BPC, you need to create a flat file extract of your data and import it into BPC. Otherwise, create a connector from your R/3 database and have it write directly to the SQL server database of BPC.

What data are you trying to transfer, i.e. master data, transactional data or??

Hi

Thanks a lot for your ondot response.

We are trying to load both transaction and master data from R/3 to BPC.

Can you please share with us in both these methods (through flat file and connector) the detailed procedure on loading data from R/3 to BPC?

I once again thank you for your helping hand.

Hi Anil,

You have several options:

Firstly, there is our friendly Visual Studio that you can use to get the SAP data in. Just follow the steps given at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc185254.aspx

Secondly, you can use Xtract IS tools. They allow you to get data from any SAP table, infocube, SAP query, BAPI, hierarchy or a report. You can get more information at http://www.theobald-software.com/cms/en/xtract-is/xtract-is-bw-cube.html

Thirdly, if you want to integrate SQL reporting services with Netweaver BI, then there is some help available at http://searchsqlserver.techtarget.com/tip/0,289483,sid87_gci1190775,00.html#

Finally, some BI connectors will be delivered in the SQL feature pack also. For more information, go to http://s3.amazonaws.com/jef.mindtouch.com/1007230/32/0?AWSAccessKeyId=1TDEJCXAPFCDHW56MSG2&Signature...
