Controls/add-ins objects documentation

Former Member

Hello,

where can I, please, find controls/add-ins objects documentation? It is not in help library - where are description on RFC automation, OLE integration, etc.

But objects, methods, attributes in librfc32.dll, SAPHTML.OCX, (other *.dll, *.ocx etc.) I have not found.

I want to integrate MS Office <> SAP R/3.

Thanks,

Alexander Talac

Hi Alexander,

the only documentation that I'm aware of is in the RFC SDK. You can download it as part of the presentation server CD 3, from the service market place.

Hi,

SAP provides a pretty impressive set of controls, which can be reused to beautify your UIs running in SAPGUI. The documentation about properties an methods can be found on SAPs help portal:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e1/8e51341a06084de10000009b38f83b/frameset.htm

Please follow the path

-SAP NetWeaver

-Application Platform

-ABAP Technology

-UI Technology

-Controls & Control Framework for SAP GUI

Hello Klaus,

you mention "Controls" technology, but my answer was not aimed on this direction (maybe I not clearly expressed myself).

The topic is to realize communication between R/3 and MS Office.

In VBA, in Excel are called RFC function in SAP. In visual basic are used expressions like:

...

Dim R3, MyFunc, App As Object

Dim SEL_TAB, NAMETAB, TABENTRY, ROW As Object

...

Set MyFunc = R3.Add("TABLE_ENTRIES_GET_VIA_RFC")

...

Set R3 = CreateObject("SAP.Functions")

R3.Connection.System = "denmark"

R3.Connection.client = "100"

R3.Connection.user = "SAP*"

....

If R3.Connection.logon(0, False) <> True Then

Exit Sub

End If

...

R3.Connection.LOGOFF

...

So where can I find documentation of object "R3"? It has methods like "connection.logoff", or "Add([func_module]), or atributes like "connection.system", etc.?

Have I register some Add-ins in Excel to use it? Or *.dll file is enough?

Everybody I have asked in my environment, just use these object as "trained monkeys" without docu....,

Thanks, Alex.

Hi,

you are referring to the Function OCX, which is documented at

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/63/5d4f73c4a411d194ae00a0c94260a5/content.htm
