The
System Usability Scale (Brooke, 1996) is a widely used, standardized 10-item questionnaire to measure user satisfaction. For German users, a group of SAP usability professionals made a translation available in 2013 which we proudly re-post in this community.
The translation is based on a crowdsourcing project initiated by Wolfgang Reinhardt during his time at the University of Paderborn. A number of usability professionals from all over Germany submitted translation proposals to Wolfgang, which were consolidated by
Eva Ruegenhagen and
Bernard Rummel from the SAP Global Design Enablement team. The selected German versions of the items were then translated back into English independently by British and US native speakers, to make sure the translated items have the intended meaning.
