There has not yet been an official announcement yet, but I just found that the source code for the Eclipse Memory Analyzer (formerly known as the "SAP Memory Analyzer") has been checked in into the svn repository at http://dev.eclipse.org/svnroot/technology/org.eclipse.mat.
You can also download a first build from http://www.eclipse.org/mat/downloads.php
This is not only a milestone because now one of the best heap dump analysis tools is open source, but as far as I know this is the first time that SAP has open sourced a major java project.
Go and get it now !
One note : you will need the birt plugins to be able to compile it.
