For those that use SAP StreamWork primarily as a collaberation platform for business decisions, the abilities and features are likely well known. However, there are also quite a few users of the product that make use of the many features for other than business needs. Occasionally, I receive email from users that outline how they use the product. Naturally, as a support engineer for the product, these are the best incoming communications. Below are but just a few examples of how non-business users are finding SAP StreamWork to be useful.
Several users have mentioned how they use StreaamWork as a tool to share recipes, photos and even movie reviews they have written. With the ability to upload documents from a home computer, evernote, dropbox and now even Google Docs, one can clearly see how the sharing of files can be simple and secure. The ability to sort documents into collections was one of the main reasons one group of people decided StreamWork would work so well for sharing their favorite recipes with each other.
By far, one of my favorite examples of using StreamWork for a non-business need dealt with little 10 year old Allison. I heard from Allison's parents how she presented her entire 5th grade Science Fair project using StreamWork. She used some of the basic notes, the discussion method, checklists and uploaded all her photos and charts that presented the entire project. Of course the ability to print items as well as the entire activity aided in providing handouts to her class audience. Needless to say, her teacher is very interested in the product as well.
I am quite possitive that there are far many more stories on how StreamWork is being used and encourage others to add their StreamWork uses to this blog.
