Today a new version of the SAP TM collaboration portal enhancement guide was published here: SAP TM Collaboration Portal - Customer Extensions.
This update contains the new enhancement concept that was defined to keep your custom extensions across updates of software component SAPTMUI.
Please notice, that the SAP Note 2244451 - Collaboration Portal: Customer extensions get lost in upgrade is required as precondition as announced here: Incompatible change in the enhancement concept.
