It is nearly that time of year again. In March, the SAPinsider Financials 2016 and GRC 2016 conferences will be held in Las Vegas, USA. These conferences are unique due to the focus and depth with which they cover finance and compliance topics. They are specifically targeted at organizations using SAP Financial and GRC solutions, bringing together finance and compliance professionals, customers, implementation partners, software companies and SAP solution experts. The good news is that registration at one event allows you to attend both events.
This year, digital transformation is top of mind for many executives. So how can finance organizations meet the demands of the digital economy? (For more information read my previous blog) Business processes and models across all industries are fundamentally changing. This is due to the real time, always-on nature of digital. So finance processes need to become real time too. But what does this mean? More automation and removal of manual steps. Predicting outcomes not just reporting them. Provide instant insights to their business partners to act on? Derek Klobucher gives a great summary of what it will mean in his blog How to embrace the future @SAPinsider 2016
Given this environment, the majority of finance organizations are not standing still. A comprehensive survey conducted by CFO.com and SAP in 2015, explored this topic. It asked 1544 senior finance executives, about their expectations for the future. The survey results showed that the majority of finance executives, believe their future is bright. They expect that their work will become more strategic and their opportunities will increase. To hear more insights from the survey, listen to Thack Brown, general manager and global head for SAP’s Line of Business Finance. In a podcast interview, he discusses the survey with CFO Publishing.
When the event opens this year in Las Vegas, a keynote panel will focus on “Transforming the finance organization to thrive in the digital world”. Hosted by Ivo Bauermann, Global VP and GM, SAP. Bauermann will explore how digitalization is re-writing the rules of competition. He will share how the boardrooms of leading edge companies are relying on “live business” to make the best decisions. Bauermann will then be joined on stage by Jonathan Feinstein, VP, New York Life Insurance, John Steele, Principal, Deloitte Consulting and Celina Rogers, VP, CFO Publishing. They will discuss real life examples of companies that are thriving in this hyper-accelerated world.
In addition, there will be in-depth sessions across the entire Financial and GRC portfolio. Top experts from SAP experts and leading consulting firms will present roadmaps, tips, tricks, best practices and strategic recommendations. Customer case studies, as always, feature highly. These customer sessions offer great opportunities to hear how leading companies tackle their projects and initiatives. If you prefer a personal touch. Then visit the exhibit hall receptions and to meet with SAP and partner organizations. See how the innovative technologies on display may fit into your IT infrastructure. Alternatively if you want to get deep into product discussions. Take advantage of some real-world experiences of some the industries top technologists. Sit down for a 1:1 session with the experts who’ll answer your toughest questions in the customer solution center.
