Reflections about how far AI will go

The more we talk about AI, the more people tend to pick sides. Whether you like it or not, the implementation of Artificial Intelligence is accelerating everywhere, and this year SAP demonstrated how well it is prepared to bring powerful AI solutions to its customers. SAP Community member and former SAP employee Pierre Col, who recently retired, opened an important discussion about this topic. In his blog post, he highlights how strongly SAP is positioned in the market and showcases the power of its AI offerings. At the same time, he raises concerns about the impact that AI, and humanoid robots in particular, may have on human employment. Overall, this is a valuable blog post that encourages thoughtful reflection on what the near future may look like and invites the community to share ideas, perspectives, and engage in meaningful discussion in the comments.

SAP Mentor Leonardo Araujo insights on AI journey at SAP TechEd 2025

One of the most valuable aspects of SAP TechEd 2025 was the insightful sessions delivered by experienced developers and industry experts. We had the pleasure of hearing from many SAP Mentors and Champions who brought important conversations to the spotlight, and one of the standout sessions was presented by SAP Mentor Leonardo Araujo. His session was based on his earlier blog post”The AI Stack Is Ready — Are You? The Challenge No Longer Is Technology“. Leonardo explained that the AI technology stack, especially for generative and agent-based AI, is already largely in place. Capabilities such as secure AI, RAG scenarios, agent building, orchestration, and flexible LLM choices are now well supported by SAP BTP and reinforced by recent SAP innovations announced at SAP TechEd. He also emphasized key realities of generative AI, including its probabilistic nature, the critical importance of clearly defined problem statements, and the risks of applying AI to broken or poorly designed processes. Therefore, Leonardo shared practical recommendations around experimentation, fail-fast approaches, and the journey from pilot to production. His content is a must-read, offering valuable insights into why some AI pilots fail and how organizations can achieve success.

SAP Cloud ALM: Codeless Automation for RISE Transitions

Nowadays, regression testing often becomes a challenge because of the necessity teams need to balance thorough test coverage with the pressure to release quickly. SAP´s Paulo Boschetti explores how Tricentis Test Automation for SAP integrated with SAP Cloud ALM can help teams address this challenge in a more practical way. Paulo explains that tools only succeed when supported by strong testing practices, clear strategies, and skilled teams. While Tricentis TTA offers a powerful, codeless, and SaaS-based approach, its real value comes from enabling functional teams to actively participate in automation rather than replacing testing expertise. Considering real-world implementations in Latin America, particularly during RISE with SAP transitions and S/4HANA upgrades, he shows how this solution significantly reduces regression testing effort and accelerates delivery cycles. He also makes sure to remind readers to invest equally in your team by training them and supporting skills development.
