New in SAP Profile: Your Recent Activity Feed

We’re excited to announce a new feature in the SAP Profile: the Recent Activity feed.

From now on, whenever you publish a blog post, answer a question, or engage in other activities in SAP Community, your contributions will automatically appear in a dedicated feed on your personal SAP Profile page.

In the screenshot below, the areas marked in red and green highlight the new features (the color boxes are only for illustration and not part of the actual design):

• Red box: the new Recent Activity feed. It supports infinite scrolling, allowing you to explore your past activities without any limit.

• Green box: the new Reputation section, which we will continue to enhance by adding data from additional SAP touchpoints over time.

The section highlighted in the green box also shows the newly introduced Reputation section. We will continue to expand this section and add data from other SAP touchpoints.

Your SAP Profile is the central place where others can learn more about you, your expertise, and your community presence. With the new activity feed:

• Your contributions shine – Every blog post, answer, or update you share becomes more visible.

• Your expertise is easier to discover – Visitors to your profile can now quickly see your most recent activities.

• Your profile feels more complete – It’s not just a static page anymore, but a living reflection of your engagement.

How it works

The feed updates in near real-time, powered by a new event-based architecture that our team built not only for this feature, but also as a foundation for future scenarios. Event-based systems are a powerful architectural pattern that allows us to deliver updates quickly and reliably — and you’ll see more benefits of this approach in upcoming enhancements.

To make the feed even more engaging, we’ve included images alongside the activity updates. This makes the stream more visually appealing, more useful, and easier to understand at a glance. While adding images added some complexity, the result is well worth it for the user experience.
