Enhancements for SAP Community - March 2025

Daylight Savings Time is here (for some of us)!

Spring forward with these enhancements and updates.

1) Updated Privacy Statement

We have updated our privacy statement.   The new version includes:

• A description of how the SAP Consulting Capability processes published content
• Addition of locations for the country and regional provision section

 Some users may be asked to accept these via the Legal Disclaimer dialog box.  This is normal whenever we make a change to our Privacy Statement and/or Terms of Service. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) Fully Expanded Editor Bar

To make editing your posts, comments, and replies easier, the editor bar will, by default, be fully expanded.

 

3) SAP Champion and Mentor Identifiers

Non-SAP employees Champions and Mentors will now have identifiers next to their profile names. 

      

 SAP employee champions/mentors already have the SAP logo - those employees signed in with their SAP accounts will see the SAP logo only as there cannot be two logos displayed side-by-side technically.

4) Event Reminder Timing

Reminders for events will now be sent 24hrs prior to the event start time. Previously the reminder was sent 30mins prior to the event taking place.

5) Board Selector Enhancements on Create Post

We have organized the drop-down list from which you select a board to place your post.  Previously the list displayed a selection of boards without organization or sequence.  

Now, the list is organized and sequenced.  

 

The user can also select Show All... to get to a more comprehensive and structured list.  (N.B. The list is a tree structure, so please drill down to the board on which you wish to post.)

 

6) Bug Fix: Source Code block adds blank lines

When creating a post which included code samples, extra white space around coding samples were added every time you enter-exit preview mode. These extra spaces were also added once the post was added. This inconsistency in formatting has been fixed.

7) Bug Fix: Format error when submitting a comment without text

After (Error message displays horizontally, i.e., correctly)
