Enhancements for SAP Community - December 2024

I am honored to be picking up the mantle of sharing news regarding enhancements (meaning improvements and bug fixes) to the SAP Community. Following are the enhancements released since the last posting.

Privacy Statement

Please note that the Privacy Statement for the SAP Community has been revised.  An outdated paragraph referencing an earlier AI capability has been removed.  In its place, there is a section that addresses the inclusion of search results based upon generative AI processing.  In the document, this is referred to as “SAP Consulting Capability.”

UI and Bug Fixes

  • Mobile UI

    • Ensured there was a sufficient gap between ''Start a discussion'/'Create a blog' and feed sorting drop-down list on feed pages.  This improves visibility and clarity of the drop-down list.

  • Latest Post UI
    • The use of different green check marks (see Before image) serves only to confuse the user as they attempt to discern the reason for the different images.  Now, a consistent graphic is used to represent an accepted solution in Latest Post widget in Question pages.   Where do we configure SAP FSM Item types? - SAP Community

  • Mobile experience scrolling issue was fixed.
    • Users had difficulty scrolling down the page on a mobile device to get to posts. This issue has been fixed.

 

Posting Comment or Answer on Question

Users have been posting comments as the answer to a question.  With this fix, it is now easier to differentiate between answering a question and commenting on a question as the distinction between the two has been made clearer with additional verbiage around each option.

Custom content block in right column to group landing page

A custom content component is available on the group landing page to provide additional information or resources.

Sort Content on Boards in Groups by Creation Date

To make it easier to check the newest questions/blogs, a new Sort By option has been added to the drop-down list.  Users can now sort by Creation Date.

Community Events Page

Event creators can now select one or multiple industries as a ‘Label’ when creating an event.  This now enables the user to filter events by Labels and find events that are relevant to their interests and needs.
