dates back to 2006. first time i heard it from my college friend who told that his brother works in SAP. after that 2007 - direct campus placement in a company (which is known for giving the best IT training infra for freshers). out of 1500 freshers, I was one of the "very few" reserved to be assigned to SAP BASIS and get further training in that. I called my friend and told him that I have an option to go to my hometown and get assigned to Java stream or I stay away from home and accept the SAP stream assignment. He said "SAP !! thats amazing". I chose to stay away from home and go through SAP training. Rest is history. No turning back. One of the best decision of my life !!

@bglobee what a great story! I agree with you no looking back. I worked in supply chain many years ago and we implemented SAP. So, I started as an end user before joining SAP. Many years later I have held many positions and still use SAP everyday in some capacity - SFSF, Concur, Ariba, Analytics Cloud, you name it. How far we (and so many have come.) May I ask what learning journey you are taking or planning to take? You should meet SAP Champions too - @KatherineKenneally will tell you who they are!!

I first heard about SAP in 2004, when the company I was working for was implementing a competing ERP system, and SAP was always referenced as the best system in the world.

Hello @Ruthvik_Chowdary and SAP Community,
The first time I heard about SAP was actually through a bit of a game of telephone! A friend of mine mentioned SAP when he was just starting his career as an SAP consultant, and his excitement about the potential of SAP piqued my interest. He had heard about it from his own network of friends and colleagues who were already diving into the world of SAP.
That initial curiosity led me to explore SAP further, and I quickly realized the vast potential and opportunities within the SAP ecosystem. It’s been an exciting journey ever since, from those early days of learning to now actively engaging with clients and solving complex challenges in the SAP SF PMGM space.
It’s amazing to see how these early conversations and shared enthusiasm can shape our careers and drive our passion for what we do.
Looking forward to more discussions and learning from everyone here!

I heard about SAP in 2005, when I was doing my MBA. I was curious about Data warehousing concepts.
