Last week I had a chance to join WeAreDevelopers Congress in Berlin. Rarely it happens for me to go to events as a participant, not as a speaker. But this time - thanks to a free ticket from our local
wroc,py meetup from Wrocław - I could just relax and enjoy learning and networking.
But there was no shortage of SAP colleagues presenting.
Our SAP CTO
juergen.mueller participated in the Executive Stage panel, that attempted to demystify AI. Juergen suggested reading "
Thinking, Fast and Slow" book by Daniel Kahneman to better understand how human's brain work and what can and cannot be programmed.
Artificial Intelligence was a topic of quite a few talks and discussions during the conference, including the keynote by Garry Kasparov.
By the end of the first day of the conference some 450 attendees gathered to listen to our SAP colleague from SAP Innovation Center Network office in Potsdam.
Modood Alvi presented his team's experience working with Serverless in the product development. In summary: Serverless is leightweight, extendable, strategic and fun!
The closing keynote of the Congress was done by no one else, but
martin.wezowski, Chief Designer & Futurist at SAP. If you haven't seen Martin presenting yet, then you can check one of his recorded talks, like
Build a World We All Want to Live in from WeAreDevelopers Conference 2017.
Organizers promised that all recorded presentations will soon be available at
