UPDATE: PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MIGRATION HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO OCTOBER 5. SO IT WILL NOT HAPPEN ON OCTOBER 4. APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.
Contrary to what we had reported previously, we are going to do another migration of SCN blogs. This migration will occur on Tuesday, October 4, and as was the case with previous migrations, any blog content in the test beta system will be wiped out as a result.
If there is any beta blog content you wish to keep, you should save a copy offline before October 4.
While this is an inconvenience to anyone who wants to retain posts written in the beta system, we are doing this migration to fix blog issues recently reported during beta testing, such as instances where URLs for SCN posts were not redirecting to their URLs in the new community.
Please keep in mind that as reported in Action Required: What You Need to Know (and Do) to Prepare for the New SAP Community, all content from the beta system will be wiped out once we move to the new community platform. So if you do save beta blog content and post it on October 5 (after the migration), you will need to post it again after we launch on October 10.
Also keep in mind that this migration is meant to ensure that SCN blog posts move to the new community platform, and that their SCN URLs redirect to their new community pages. The migration will not wipe out SCN blog posts, and any SCN blog posts published before the site freeze on October 7 will be part of the new community.
