This is the second in a series of blogs on sharing Knowledge. In this blog I simply want to introduce the various tools available to us for sharing Knowledge.
SAP provides no less than seven distinct tools for sharing knowledge. Some of these tools are for SAP employees only, but most are available to all.
For those employed by SAP highly recommended reading – probably required actually, should be the document "SAP Communications Policy". Also, see the "Social Media Guidelines and Registries". We all want to be professional and speak as “One SAP”. To that end, the documents discuss the how to, why to, what not to and more. Note that these are internal SAP documents.
For SAP customers wanting know more about how to contribute, see the excellent introduction Share Your Knowledge in SCN Topic Spaces. A great starting place if I have ever seen one.
(the SAP Knowledge Toolbox)
The list below contains the tools we can use to create knowledge. The Toolbox. I suspect the list is not exhaustive and if it is not, please do add a comment to this blog. The follow-up blogs in this series discuss my personal recommendations as to when to use each of the tools, how to use it, why to use it, what’s in it for you and more.
The SAP Knowledge Tools Matrix below summarizes some points that may help in choosing the best content for your style, your idea, intended result and target audience. In future blogs in theis series, each of the assets will be further detailed.
