Hi there, cool Beta side for the testing.

Will the "old" content all come over, and will we need to change the bookmarks?

What I like about the new Beta:

Clear and Easy to follow layout (hope that won't get lost with more content)

I like the to menu to easy access and change areas.

The whole look is a bit more modern and appealing.

With the current content it seems to be easier to get where I want to go.

Things I didn't like as much:

I cannot select the new Zealand flag, when I select New Zealand it comes up with the Australian flag

I would like to see an area where I can see updates from my network (the people and blogs that I follow / bookmark).

I cannot get a feeling how it will look like when the full content will come over, I find it sometimes already hard to navigate through the current SCN.

Like others, my reputation is/was not showing....so I included "Notifications" to bottom.....

Sooooo here goes....

Things I like:

-it is new so still trying to figure out what I actually do like :lol:

Things I do not like (or at least find "weird" now):

-top menu drop down is "odd" and the second level "pop out" menus from it are "odder" still (shows all options in bold text?!?!)

-I absolutely HATE having to scroll all the way to bottom to click "add comment" on a blog

-Similar to above, why in this day/age of responsive designs must I click "show more" at bottom of a list? Why no "auto scroll" and only say "load/show more" if network issues happen?

-Speaking of "responsive".....My profile shows a list of "blogs"....when I resize and it attempts to be "responsive", I suddenly see two disabled tabs for "questions" and "answers" showing ZERO for each.....so if they hide when I am on a big screen and have ZERO contributions, why do they show when small size but disabled? Seems ....again...."odd".

Like I said....I will have to play with it more. I don't want to add "noise" so I am aware of many others issues/gripes/bugs being worked on, so I will not just parrot those to you.

My impressions of the Beta:

I like the clean / uncluttered layout

There is much potential here

The issues I have are slowness and 504 Gateway timeouts, which I reported via the site feedback and got confirmation from Folkert Eilts.

clear and user-friendly environment, I had no problems in search and write answers.

This Beta is great.

Generally I like the idea of re-designing the discussions and blog area from SCN. But my current doubts are regarding the

• tag list which links SCN spaces to 1DX tags
• migration of the existing data based on tags

And I fear that for example some detailed spaces in the SCN will be merged to one really big space in 1DX which will make moderation nearly impossible.

Anyway in order to obtain my batch I would like to give my appreciation.

I found that many options that other people have enable on their screens are not in mine.

I suppose you are testing so that sometimes not everything is working.

However for me it is very nice work,

I really appreciate this options to communicate.

There are strange functions, for example it doesnt make sense to me have the option to mark a batch notification as unread.

Answers does not have the option to insert html code, and that could make nicer responses.

Activties history keep copy of the elements I decided to erase and maybe it is not so useful.

Questions and blogs were not working for me, I suposse it is blocked by now.

Anyway, I would like to test again when it is full working.

My reputation is not updated with all 3 badges, but notifications show it:

Things I like:

- beautiful, clean design, has a nice SAP look and feel

- I like the idea of tags

- separate places for blogs, Q&A, wiki - that's also good

Thigs I don't like:

- when I navigate to different areas (people, activities, answers) I need to reauthenticate in most cases - that takes away the ONE SAP feeling, feels like 5 different pages

- many little annoying things that don't work (yet) - details in discussions

- tagging is complex, not so easy to understand which primary tag should be used in many cases, could lead to wrong content under certain tags

I waited for a long time for an update of badge in my profile. Hope this will suffice

pros:

1.improved social media sharing options for blogs

2.arranging the blogs by mothly is so good so that we can find the latest easily

3.following blog sepereately.

4.highlighting the blogger d.p or in the sense blogger.

cons:

1.can't open image seperately(earlier we can click on a picture and it will be visible clearly)

2.when i open a blog or a document, a right and left borders would look great. and complete white background is little bit tough for the viewer.

Suggestions:

1.As many people these days are used to social media, I suggest to make comments same as most of the social media. If possible as many features as possible.

2.I don't suggest "Member since" should be in profile. instead last active would be useful.

3.Color usage should be good, especially when i hover on "solutions^", it is mixing with the background colour of the page.

4.when i click on my icon in right top corner, my name appear in black color, which is looking like there is no link in it, it can be improved.

Typing in all CAPS will not resolv cons. on beta system over the night, In general when you typing all on CAPS that means you are yelling.
