I really like the new design and finally I received my badges.

What I could see as an improvement like similar stuff on the current SCN, that I can see what are the unearned or "in progress" missions and I can se exactly what needs to be done in order to complete.

And of course one I completed it, the mission badge should be available just right after.

Issues:

The Country Chooser is not very easy to read (sorting does not respect the display names). Consider the usage of flag icons.

Hi Sajid,

I really liked the SCN beta. It has a very neat interface. I liked the notification functionality. It looks very easy to share the blog on other social media. I was not having a blog and Q&A creation option. I did report a bug which I got while using search option in Q&A page. The universal profile is also missing privacy option.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I really like the new profile.... two minor things that I noticed:

• The image I uploaded got really dark (for whatever reasons!) ?!?
• Next to the SAP employee and SAP Mentors icon the "Moderator" text looks rather dull -> we need a moderator icon!!!

Hi Martina,

I agree with you, same on my side.

I thought, there's a link missing on the left pane.

I mean, you can click on "View all Content", then the tab name on the right pane changes to "My Content".

If you click on "Followers" on the left pane, then the tab name changes to ... and so on.

The link "View my Reputation" seems to be missing.

I've tried changing the URL manually... and it works...

The URL is:

Try it, you will get the tab...

I'm still having the smile on my face...hihihi

Hi dear patient reader!

Positive Feedback:

• I like the new look and feel, no complaints about it
• The universal Profile is beneficial
• In general, the universal URLs are good
• Improved search. A good Search is very important. I mean: very important. Hope that in future we won’t have to use Google instead of SCN-search if we want to find something in SCN…
• F5 still repairs most errors…,-)

There’s no negative feedback…

• In general, the disadvantage of the universal URLs is that they seem disconnected and there’s no logical way ”back”
• Of course, it is a “baby” and still many things don’t work, or are buggy. That’s no problem, we’re all humans (still not all the code is generated and the code generators are still programmed by humans… still…)
• Cannot copy&paste in the comment sections
• More formatting capabilities in the comment section
• How do I link to a specific comment? Comments are frequently useful for others, as the provide answers to problems
• Performance is the number one

Browser applications are usually slow, which most enerves me..
We always need to take compromises, such as: either have a nice list-page with small amount of entries, or an ugly page with lots of entries. Second approach is faster, so preferable from my perspective. But I agree that scn has to be nice;-) So I’d like to look for a compromise which is faster but still acceptably nice. My example is the “Bookmarks” page in the old SCN, which is almost useless, because I see only few bookmarks on one page and it takes much too much time to find my bookmark

Love the new profile! Noticed that the uploaded profile picture is automatically darkened. I don't mind but would be good if I had a little "Enhance Picture" slider to remove that.

My reputation hasn't shown up yet, but here's a copy of the notifications page:

Things I like about the new system:

• Very clean UI
• LOVE the new profile page - it's way easier to understand what you're looking at and I like that your own published content is easy to find.
• The blog pages look much more modern and clean.  Not sure if it's just my zoom setting on my browser, but there is a LOT of white space around the content column.  Understood this is great for mobile viewing (yay!), but it renders a bit weird on a laptop/desktop screen.
• "More by this author" - great feature for discovering new content!
• The upvote system on Q&A - doesn't rely on the original author to "accept" an answer, persay, to get validation.  Ability to sort by votes is great too.

Things I'm not crazy about:

• Again, not sure if it's just my browser setting but the content on the home page seems REALLY tiny compared to the header image/banner
• Did we do away with the content/topic areas or have those just not been added yet?
• The "Like" (thumbs up) button looks very similar to the Facebook like icon.  Not sure if this means I'll "Like" it on Facebook (I keep my personal social media accounts separate from business), so I'm hesitant to click.  I know there's a Facebook Share button further down, but the icon is confusing.
• At some point (maybe opening a new tab or window?) I was randomly logged out, despite not closing my browser.  Will see if I can reproduce and submit as a bug.

Would like to see:

• An upcoming events bar/widget on the home page
• The ability to share content to my own followers in the community (maybe we can do this and I don't know how yet...?).  If I find an article in the community that is particularly relevant to my circle of contacts, I'd like to be able to highlight it to them.
• An "ideas" section, where the product teams can verify or just respond to ideas from the community on future developments?  (e.g. on the roadmap, or not planned, etc.)
