I am a developer with TransAlta Corporation, Canada's largest power generation company. I have been working with Microsoft development tools and technologies for years. Only in 2001 did I get introduced to a whole new stream of products from SAP that completely changed the way I provided solutions to the business units that comprise TransAlta. Using SAP's Portal technology and a series of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript and ASP, I realized the full blown potential of web development. But, there was never any real good source of information through SAP to give me the tools, examples and guidance to enable me to truly explore my creative side when developing applications for TransAlta's portal. I had this already with MSDN for years and cherished the experience. Now, that SDN is alive and kicking, I feel a renewed energy towards my participation in making the whole portal experience here at TransAlta worthwhile for both developers and the end users, our main audience. Kudos to SAP for finally getting a service out there that empowers the developers, technical specialists and managers who drive SAP's technology in their respective organizations in making SAP a leader with its NetWeaver suite. I look forward to making as big an impact with SDN as SAP has made on me and my team throughout our evolution with SAP NetWeaver. -Vis- Systems Analyst TransAlta Corporation
