SCN gamification strategy is rewards for players who accomplish desired tasks. Types of rewards include points, achievement badges and levels.
Well for those who are still struggling the initial steps are made quite simple and they get more and more challenging as you proceed....
I am really enjoying this new platform and for those who are new... achieving "Steel" level with 30 points is far simple here is a guide.
So lets Begin :
After you log in SCN click on your OWN name above where it appears Welcome <your name>...
Now click on Missions on the left side of the links on the page that appear.
Once you are here log off and log in again... hurrahhhh you earned one point and the first badge... "I was Here"
Next again when you login... move around a bit....
If you like any content click the like button on it....
If you see some good blog "Rate it " at the bottom you can see the rating of Stars.... click there...
If you find some good content for future reference bookmark it....
When you open on the right side of the page you will a link for bookmark...
Hurrah.... you earned another badge....
Great now you have reached a new level too .... it shows Aluminum instead of Glass....
Now go again in your missions you will see the Ready missions single battery, double battery and fully loaded.
Complete these by creating avatar... Reading some blogs mentioned and writing comments and so....
Hurrah we are quite near our goal for 30 points to reach Steel....
Lets sum up
1 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 21 points....
Now you would be thinking is it that simple and easy the answer is NO....
The whole idea behind this is to get you know and feel how to behave and communicate in SCN
So in a way SCN is rewarding you to learn how to use SCN.
Now that you are 21 points..... its time to share....
Write one of your experience in ABAP development as a BLOG or something that you know real good as a document..
This will warn you the "I Blogged" or "I shared" badge with 10 points for the blog or the document and 5 more for a new badge.
21 + 15 = 36
Hurrah.... you are a Steel level member now....
