Brief Intro :- This is Babu Kilari and I am an SCM APO Techno-functional consultant having around 6.6 years of experience in development and consulting areas. At the moment, I am currently working with IBM based out of Pune. Prior to IBM, I was working with Infosys and I have joined there as a fresher after passing out from college in 2007.

I was trained in ABAP initially and I was excited to work in SAP ABAP, however I was allocated to a project wherein I had to do production support activities like job monitoring  , reprocessing the Idocs  , monitoring and processing the CIF queues :???: etc.,  To be honest, it was not that exciting and it didn't bring me any experience  . During this project, I had lots of free time and I knew that once I come out of the project, people see me as an 1 year experienced resource in ABAP. At this point in time, I came across SCN ( earlier it was SDN ) and started going through ABAP forums. I kept myself involved into it and started answering the questions  . And at the sametime, I used to visit office even during weekends to catch up with some assignments on ABAP to gain some experience. After few months of struggle, I could get hold of some command over ABAP ( SCN really helped me big time ) and cleared an internal interview and landed up into an implementation project for one of the biggest CPG customers. That was the only chance for me to prove myself and get bigger in the SAP world and I thoroughly used it to a larger extent . It was a GATP implementation and APO box was something not new to me (since I had spent months resolving CIF issues etc., somehow the previous boring project's experience did help me ;). I used to spend around 14 hrs a day at work location to catch hold of the GATP stuff both technically and functionally and exactly in 12 months, I grew up to a level wherein I could design new solutions and moved to Germany in 2010 as a techno-functional expert. Since then, I have been working in APO space and I am loving every bit of it. Needless to say that SCN is still helping me and it won't be an exaggeration to say that SCN plays a key role in every SAP consultant's life. A BIG THANKS to the founders of SCN.

Personal life :- I am from India and I am an easy going person and whenever I get free time, I love doing photography. Street Photography and silhouettes are my favorite areas to play. You can see my work here in the link https://500px.com/logbabu.  Following are my personal favourites among my collection. Hope you will enjoy them as much as I do.

Questions asked by Kumar Gaurav :-

1) How do you deal with Criticism ?

I take criticism on a positive note. In my view, if you have to move further there should always be a back push to remind you that you could achieve even better. However, the most key part is not to show that up rather the ground work should be done behind the scenes and finally your work should speak about you. If I ever have to criticize someone, I believe in constructive criticism. If your goal of criticism is to enlighten them, you should follow a win-win approach to keep your relationship as is.

2) How you came to know about SCN ?

As explained above I came to know about SCN when my project work was not helping me to gain good experience

3) Latest incident that makes me laugh ?

I am kind of person who enjoys humour in every aspect of life. You tell me a good joke, I'll laugh

Thank you for reading my BIF blog
