When the stalled launch of the all new SCN was announced, I was hyper critical of SAP and its management. A few months on and things have changed, mostly for the better.
While in Australia, I asked mark.yolton to come on camera with me to discuss the journey, the ups, the downs and all in between. He was gracious enough to agree. What you see above is the outcome of that discussion. It was a good natured and frank discussion that provides some insights into the scale of issue his team have been hefting.
Looking back, I struggle to agree that I was unfair at the time. When projects go pear shaped, accountability is important. Having said that, my past critique is less important than the evidence of the strides the team has since taken in not only fixing a slew of issues but making SCN a destination to which SAPpers want to come.
My favourite quote? Referring to the old SCN: "It was a Frankenstein monster."
Thanks Mark for your graciousness in getting into the JD-OD/Howlett coconut shy.
