Rewriting and optimizing the Calc view (see also http://scn.sap.com/message/14271271) higly reduced the difference in response time between SQL and MDX.MDX is still abou 4 times slower anyway.

Hi Christian,I've no idea what the cause of these error is, but at least I was able to stop having my trace files full of this kind of messages setting the Database Trace for component "ALL SERVICES"\transactionmanager to FATAL (default is ERROR).
