ZPL Preview in Spool Controller

Hello community,

When we try to use the print preview functionality of a Label designed using Smartforms we get the attached picture as the output preview (the label prints correctly). This label is designed for a Zebra Printer (ZPL coding) and all we get are lines. I know that the data can be displayed in SP11 under TemSe but is there a tool available which can get the print preview to work? The device type we are using is the ZLB_ZEB.

Hi,

getting a graphical preview of the label cannot work in your case since you are using a method where the actual printer commands (ZPL-2 commands) are stored in the MAIN window of the form. SmartForms here is only used as a "replace variable fields in a text with their values" engine and not as a document formatter generating a label layout.

What you send to the printer is the actual text (consisting of printer commands) which the "preview" now shows you.
