Hi,
I have a evaluation license for a SQL Anywhere Personal Server edition version 12.0.0.2483. This is on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Standard Edition environment. I can create the SQL Anywhere 12 db via the wizard in Sybase Central with the following options maintained:
Maintain log files - Yes
Maintain transaction Mirror log files - Yes
Install jConnect Meadata suppoort - No
Enable encryption - Simple encryption of the entire database
Page Size - 8192 bytes
Default options taken for the rest of the installation options
When trying to create a service for the newly created database, the service will not start and there is an error in the windows event viewer.
Text of the error message is as follows: "XRS6008: ADO Data Access Error Occured. Database server not found. EXPLANATION: An error occured while attempting to access the logging database connection. The NT/ADO error code in the server log or the operating system event log may contain additional information about why the table could not be accessed. [DBAccess]
Anyone have an idea on what is causing this issue?
Thanks
