Hi,
Is there any way to insert an email link into a Dashbaord? The URL component seems to require an http address.
I would like my users to be able to click on the link nad have an email open in Outlook. Is this possible?
Cheers, matt
I use a text component with html enabled linked to a cell with:
<a href="mailto:emailAddress" target="_self">email</a>Where # = mailto:emailAddress
This works well and prevents the IE browser from poping up.

How do you create a text component with html enabled? This looks like a great idea. I don't understand the process and could use some help. Thanks.

Hi,
It is possible, use "Mailto" option in Excel sheet . Ex: mailto:email address?

Hi Senthil,
I have tried entering mailto:emailaddress in an cell and then linking the URL component to that cell. However when exporting and using it will either 1) generate a Internet Explorer browser and then in addition generate an email; or 2) an error message will display.
Are there any special formatting in excel or Xcelsius I need to do?
Many thanks for your help
matt
