What is the correct set up for an OAuth client which is to write data to SAP Datasphere via OData4?

Edit: Is writing to SAP Datasphere using OData4 / REST supported?

I could add more comments. SAP Datasphere has OData API for both Catalog and Consumption but all APIs are GET --only for reading from external app--

If you meant pushing data from external with REST / OData API to Datasphere it's not available. But you can pull data via OData connection in Datasphere with OAuth authentication, see Generic OData Connections
