Hi experts,
we are using ESS/MSS portal a lot which has lot of submissions and approvals. In the workflow system, if the approver has moved to different place in the org. structure, his unapproved work items are still in his box. New manager is not getting the work items, workflow still picks the old manager as the approver for the task.
would you recommend any transaction to approve previous manager's all work items? Then, i think, the workflow system will pick the new manager as approver for work items!
regards!
Hi,
try SWU_OBUF for buffer refresh. If that does not work ask the manager to open his inbox and let him refresh his organizational environment( menu: Settings => Workflow settings => Refresh organizational environment).

Hi Steffen,
thanks for replying, We can not really go for your option because managers never log into R/3 system. Is there any transaction to do a system wide refresh of Organization Environment!
Hi Imthiaz,
We are currently following your suggestion. But looking for a better solution.
regards!
Hi ,
Well it seems SWU_OBUF will not solve the purpose here - either the ESS inbox of the new manager is not proparly configured or
if you want to use deadline monotering, you can do so bu choosing the deadlione monotering tab in various activities - for that you need to do proper delegation of the old manager to new manager .
You can configure the delegation in SWBP only.

Are the workitems sent to a user or a position? How is the agent determined, by a rule?
Try to give more info, so we can try to help in stead of having to guess.

First: You can move the workitems by transaction SWIA.
The case, that the old mahager gets still all workitems seems to be an design-error of the workflow. May be, the tasks belonging to approval etc. are assigned to an user instead of an position or job.
After moving all workitems created in the past, please check the assignment of tasks.
