In Paraguay, an incoming invoice can have two line items with different VAT tax codes, one line item with 10% rate and the other with 5% rate.
The withholding tax is posted at payment, but the WTax Rate should be different for each tax code, for example, line item with tax code rate 10% should have WTax Rate 70% and line item with tax code rate 5% should have WTax Rate 30%.
This was achieved in SAP S/4 HANA by creating an account key ZST in calculation procedure and two withholding tax types for payment postings, one for VAT tax code 10% and other for VAT tax code 5%. Each WHT type is assigned to the corresponding account key in configuration activity Define Processing Key for Modified Tax Amount.
This results in withholding tax info (traditionally WITH_ITEM table) with two line items, one for tax type I1 with VAT 10% and other for tax type I2 with VAT 5%, and Wtax rate can be applied for each one at payment posting.
In S/4 HANA Cloud, since configuration of the calculation procedure is not available for customer local version, is there a workaround so the W/Tax Base amount could be defined as separate line items in withholding tax information as the example above?
We tried to configure one W/tax type and two W/tax codes, but the same vendor can only have one W/tax type, also, the base amount would be the same for both.
And if we use account key VST for both VAT tax code with 10% and 5% rate the W/Tax Base gets duplicated.
