Why we need to integrate solution documentation with charm in Solution Manager.

We are planning to Integrate the Solution documentation with CHARM. Currently we are storing the documents like (FS/TS/IMG/UAT/Test Plant) as a attachment in Request for Change and Change Document. 

What are the benefits after this integration?
Also whether we should not update our documents under Request for change? if so what is the suggested way to manage the changes related documents.

Dear customer, 

Please have a look to KBA 2863568 - Integrating Solution Documentation with Charm Workflow - Solution Manager  in SAP Solution Manager is not mandatory to integrate Solution Documentation with ChaRM, it is only an option. You will see there the benefits.
