Why my SmarFIlter request is /null?

I've just started using SapUI, and I'm trying to use SmartFilter, but all my querys go like:

Sadly I do not have an answer, but the same issue - possibly: The "real" requests do get sent correctly, but NULL-requests get automatically generated when I enter any character in the input field of the value search popup (without any annotations having been set for this field). And a corresponding error message is thrown:

I would appreciate hints as to why this happens.

BTW: UI5-Version is 1.38.1
