We are using Crystal Reports 2016 SP7 Patch 5. Several weeks ago, Crystal Reports started opening in multiple instances instead of additional tabs. I would prefer it to open in multiple tabs.
Does anyone know how change it back? Thank you!

Ah, I'm using CR 2020 so likely something new we created.
From the Start menu find Crystal Reports and right click on look for the file location.
One thing R&D noted there was a %1 on the command line, that could be what you need.
I'll see if I have a CR 2016 image running and check it there.
It's this for CR 2016:

Thanks for the info Don. Can you tell me where I can find Crystal Launcher? I've searched my computer and so has my IT group and they cannot find an application called Crystal Launcher.
Thank you.

Hi Mike,
We had a look into this and R&D noticed it also but it changed from test image to test image.
What we figured was at some point Windows reset the default but we can change it back to how we want it by right clicking on a report in Explorer, then select Open With and it should point to the Crystal Launcher and not crw32.exe.
Or you can right click on any report and select Properties, then Change and again select Crystal Launcher.

Hi Mike,
I've recently noticed this also, Same for Word, it used to open a new Doc in a tab, not it opens a new instance of word...
I'll see if R&D knows why.
