Hi everyone,
I am currently working on a standard integration between SAP S/4HANA On-Premise and SAP Sales Cloud Version 2 for the replication of Sales Orders – from S/4 to Sales Cloud v2.
I have come across something that seems completely inconsistent, and I cannot explain it:
In DRFIMG → Define Outbound Implementations, the object SalesOrder only offers the Webservice outbound implementation 114_1.
There is no IDoc outbound option available.
In the SAP Integration Suite package “SAP Sales Cloud Version 2 Integration for Sales Processes with SAP S/4HANA”, the sender adapter for the iFlow “Replicate Sales Order and Sales Quote from SAP S/4HANA” must be configured as IDoc.
The iFlow clearly expects an IDoc XML payload.
If you send SOAP/Webservice messages instead, errors occur such as:
HTTP 401
unsupported xstream in SRT_MONI
Which makes sense, because the iFlow internally seems to process IDoc payloads only, not SOAP.
How does this fit together?
Is this an intentional design?
Why is the iFlow still using IDoc structures here?
If DRFIMG does not provide an IDoc outbound implementation, how is this integration supposed to work?
What are the recommended options or best practices?
Any guidance or tips from someone who has implemented this scenario successfully would be greatly appreciated.
Request clarification before answering.
