Why Has SalesForce.com Been Removed as a Database Access Option in SAP BI 4.3 SP04?

Hi,

Can anyone shed any light as to why the SalesForce.com connector has been removed in SAP BI 4.3 SP04 please?  It's clear from the PAM that this is deliberate and not a product issue but it has caught us rather by surprise.

Does anybody have experience of switching to an alternative?

I don't know for sure, but I can speculate that it is because SalesForce bought Tableau and it is now viewed as a competitor with Business Objects. Just my speculation though.
