Hello friends

I get error like below in swpm. I tried everything but I could not find a solution.

Test logon to SAP System SID failed.

SOLUTION: Make sure that the system is started, that the user DDIC exists and that the password of user DDIC is correct.

System information;

I moved my database to another server with the transportable tablespace method.

Source System properties : Database is Oracle 19.16, operating system is SLES 15.4 and Sap system is ERP 6.0 EHP7 nonunicode system.

Target System properties : Database is Oracle 19.21, operating system is SLES 15.4 and Sap system is ERP 6.0 EHP7 nonunicode system.

We could not do the operation with swpm because the owner of the source system sent us the database by oracle export.

In the step where the sap system gives DDIC password error, all processes of the sap system become green. But it takes a long time to open the sap system, even if I examine all the logs (dev_w*, dev_disp), I could not find the reason. When I try to connect to the sap system using GUI, it takes a very long time because SGEN does not work. I am also having problems logging into sap system.

I tried 4 different non unicode kernels 7.49,7.53 (1000,1100,1200) thinking that this problem might be a kernel problem. I upgraded to the latest version thinking that the problem might be in oracle but the problem is not solved.

I have a few questions, the source system has sap kernel level 7.53 1013. I cannot find the same kernel level on sap download center. I am waiting for your support on the solution of this error.

Best Regards

Hello friends

I mentioned that we restored the database with transportable tablespace. While restoring the database, I think there was a problem and we realized that some of our data was missing. We dropped the database and restored it again and the problem was solved.

I can recommend you to do your export import with SWPM.

Have a good day

Do you have the DDIC password? If i remember correctly you need the ddic password of the source system in client 000. If you don't have it and have no other options to logon to client 000 you'd have to use the kernel based sap* user to logon, set the ddic password (remember: for a dialog user you have to logon to change the password to be permanent) and then continue with SWPM.

I wouldn't use a kernel release lower than 7.53. I am not even sure that the combo EhP7/Kernel 7.49 is a valid one. On me.sap.com you can download a non-unicode 7.53 kernel. I would try the 1200/1237.

I am sure that the DDIC username password is correct because I was able to log in with the DDIC username password. But I can't perform any further operations because the system is slow. I think something's wrong with the database.

I don't think the problem is related to the DDIC user, but I can't find the cause so I wanted to ask. Normally, if the DDIC user password is wrong, it gives the error "Your DDIC password is wrong".

I am checking kernels from PAM and looking for compatible kernels. I tried 1200 and it didn't work. I will try again with the latest patch 1200/1237.

Thanks for your help
