Which UI5 LTS Version will be the next one available in S/4 onpremise/private cloud

I know of a lot of developers at SAP customers and partners who address with their custom UI5 developments S/4HANA onpremise and private cloud systems who wonder which is the next UI5 LTS (long term support) they can and need to prepare to.

Currently the 1.120 LTS version is available with S/4 2023.

As there will be no 2024 version onpremise/private cloud, will the next LTS version be available with S/4 2025 FPS01 or earlier?

Will it be 1.132, 1.144 or 2.x?

There are lot's of nice developments with 1.121+ versions but when will they be available for onpremise/private cloud users?

Could someone at SAP enlighten us here? @OliverGraeff perhaps some of your colleagues have answers here?

Any comments from the community on this issue?

thanks, at least this is now confirmed in a blog.

Having this somewhere inside the official documentation would be better,also regarding the future development cycle of ui5.

S/4HANA private cloud edition customers will get access to a new SAPUI5 version with S/4HANA 2025 FPS00. According to the current plan, this will be version 1.136, which is also expected to be the next version with long-term maintenance support.

Perhaps this could be documented on https://ui5.sap.com/#/topic/91f021426f4d1014b6dd926db0e91070 esp. that 1.136 will be a LTS version, because from the history at https://ui5.sap.com/versionoverview.html with 1.84/1.96/1.108/1.120 readers would expect 1.132 and "only two SAPUI5 versions per year are shipped as part of the SAP_UI component" will not be true for 2024 as then no SAPUI5 version will be shipped this year with SAP_UI. Also https://ui5.sap.com/docs/maintenancestrategy.pdf should be updated.

The documentation would be not the appropriate place to publish information about the next LTS. As said, these are current plans and not an official statement.
However, I will take this point with me and discuss with the product team the possibility and appropriate method of publishing this information.
You are correct in pointing out that the previous maintenance strategy is no longer applicable, and we will update the relevant chapter in the documentation as well as the slide deck to reflect the changes.
