Looking at
It says "Enterprise Connect Data Access (ECDA) products are Open Server-based software gateways"
I'm interested in exploring this for use with Microsoft SQL server, but when I go to the SAP Store, nothing is found for "Enterprise Connect Data Access" (link)
Is it possible to download and evaluation copy of this? If so, where is the download page?
Thanks
Ben
Have you contacted your SAP sales/support rep, or tech support, about this?
If you have a tech support contract I'm assuming the SRS PAM would confirm what, if any, versions of MS/SQL are (still) supported ... ?
Heterogeneous rep agent support (ie, source/primary database == Oracle, MS/SQL, DB2) dried up years ago (last available repagent version was 15.7.1 SP211).
While maintaining heterogeneous DSI support (ie, target/replicate database == Oracle, MS/SQL, DB2) may be less technically involved, I can't find any indications in the manuals that Sybase RepServer (SRS) supports the latest versions of Oracle, MS/SQL, DB2. For years SAP has merely copied the contents of manuals with no eye towards updating the contents in the manauls; case in point: SRS 16.0 SP04 PL06, Quick Start Guide for SAP HANA Database, MS/SQL Prerequisites: supports Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or 2012 (should be updated with latest MS/SQL versions or removed if no longer supported).
If SAP is telling you that ECDA (to MS/SQL) is still supported, maybe they can provide a link to some up-to-date documentation?
