Hi Experts,
Could you please help us understand Where and in which use case we use Convergent Mediation Cloud Edition and SAP CPI/CI(Cloud Integration)?
We know that Convergent Mediation is used as part of usage and consumption tracking and CPI used for Integration.
We can also use Convergent Mediation Cloud Edition for Integration then what's special with Cloud Platform Integration.
Please refer to the screenshots attached.
Could you please help us by providing some info.
Thanks,
Vinay.

SAP Convergent Mediation by DigitalRoute, cloud edition (CMC) runs on public cloud and is positioned in Quote-to-Cash scenarios where there’s a need to collect, validate, correlate, enrich, and forward usage/revenue-related data into SAP financial processes in public cloud (e.g., SAP Subscription Billing, SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Contract Account and Invoicing FI-CA, SAP Entitlement Management). In particular, the use cases processing micro-transactions with high demands on billing accuracy and control and/or high data volumes are a better fit for CMC due to its out-of-the-box mediation features (e.g., correlation, audit, validation, data correction and stream replication).
Below are more details on the key processing steps:
Regarding the referred comparison screenshot, it refers to that the generic iPaaS is not purposely built for handling revenue data and as such typically requires customization to setup out-of-the-box mediation functionality. I.e., customizing an iPaaS integration tool for usage billing is possible, but it can be costly to implement, limit business agility and lead to increased risks. SAP Convergent Mediation by DigitalRoute, cloud edition solves this with features designed to process revenue data.
