What's the best way to monitor the progress of an iFlow using a PowerShell script?

Hi All, 

I am attempting to trigger an iFlow using an HTTP endpoint from a PowerShell script. Since it is a long-running flow, I would like to incorporate a periodic monitoring feature within the script itself.

Is there a monitoring API available that can facilitate this?
