What is difference between Installation Export and Upgrade Export in SWDC

Dear Guru's,
We are planning to do a DMO from Oracle 11 to HANA 2.0 SP05.

Source Release is EHP1 NW 7.0
Target Release is EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0 and NW 7.4

For New System Installation which is as part of Pre-requisites on Target
We are downloading the software from SWDC.

Could see 2 different files like "Installation Export 1/2/3" and "Upgrade Export 1/2/3"

For Installation we will download "Installation export" and "Upgrade export" not required right?

when do we download upgrade export files ?

Could anyone please check and do the needful

Dear Guru's,

Installation Export will be used only for NEW System Installation which we term as "Vanilla Installation".

We need to use "Installation Export" for the same.

In case of "Upgrade Export"  --> this will be used during Upgrades like EHP 4 to  EHP8.

adding further EHP8 is different from all other EHP upgrades like for example -->

EHP4 to EHP5/EHP6 and EHP7 --> IN this case Shadow system will build a clone.

Where as in EHP8 Shadow system will build from DVD and not a clone kind of setup.
