Hi experts,

I have a question about the price of SAP Build Code. Discovery Center states that it is 1.00 EUR per Capacity Unit, but what is included in one Capacity Unit? I would appreciate it if you could share any information on this.

Best regards,

Mio Yasutake

Hi,

you will need capacity units for the services in SAP Build Code, which you actually use. For example if you build a mobile app you will also need capacity units for Mobile Services. But to make it more transparent we will publish a calculator for capacity units soon.

Best regards;
Marc

Hello,

To provide more transparency and assist you in calculating the required capacity units for your specific needs, SAP has released a Capacity Units Calculator.

You can access the Capacity Units Calculator here: SAP Build Code Capacity Units Calculator.

The calculator estimates that for each new application for instance UI only it requires by default :

335 CU/per month : 2 computes ( 2 x 1 GB for the runtime 170 CU) + 2 dev environments (70 CU)  + 1 Cloud Logging (95CU).

You also have the possibility this package depending on your need.

Regards,
Nizare

Are these capacity units entitled at the Global Account level and shared across subaccounts? Or is there a subaccount quota?

The capacity units are entitled at the GA level but are not automatically shared across subaccounts. They must be explicitly allocated to each subaccount through quotas. I recommend checking this blog that I found very useful : https://community.sap.com/t5/technology-blogs-by-sap/how-to-activate-your-free-sap-build-entitlement...
