WebI 4.3 SP3 P300 How to Schedule to Microsoft OneDrive

We've recently upgraded to 4.3 SP3 P300.

Problem:

Schedling to one drive spins once a destination of one drive is selected; eventually timing-out.

Pre Conditions:

  • Webi and Activie Directory Azure admins setup and configured the Authorization Server configuration in the Applications section of CMC. (Instructions outlined in KB 3304928)
  • We modified destinations on the job server to include one drive.
  • We then accessed launchpad and modified preferences of a user to establish a token to OneDrive.
  • This appears to be succesful based on "No Expiry" being returned and an abiltiy to delete the token (again outlined in KB instructions)

Steps:

  • We then went to an existing report and attempted to create a schedule to save to one Drive.
  • I tried the same with a new report and encounterd the same issue
  • Sepecific steps:
  • create a new "Schedule" on a report
  • Remove default Enterprise Locatoin
  • Select Add, Select Microsoft One Drive and encounter issue...
  • The issue being: the screen spins with an inablity to proceed as the system "times out" before responding.
  • (see image) microsoftonedrive-spinning.png
  • I opened developer tools to monitor network traffic and found the once you click add for a delivery desitnation and select "One Drive" the system hangs/spins. The developer tools show: biprwsproxy/biprws/v1/cmsquery?pagesize=50
  • When I double click on it I see:
  • <error><br><error_code>RWS 00008</error_code>
    <br>
<message>No logon token provided in the X-SAP-LogonToken HTTP header or query parameter. (RWS 00008)
    </message><br></error>

Expected results:

  • I should be able to "browse" to one drive at this point; but since it spins the second I bring up onedrive destination, I'm unable to get past this point.

Questions:

  • What steps are we missing?
  • Why is the system just spinning when attempting to connect? (why the logonToken Error?)

it appears to me the login token has been set given the user preferences show: authtoken.png So I don't know why we'd get the error above? My next steps if no ideas here are to open incident with SAP Support.

https://userapps.support.sap.com/sap/support/sfm/notes/print/0002699221?language=E&token=6F81C05AAB2... may offer some insights but only our prod and test envionrments use a load balncer, so I'm not sure how this applies here. . Our system is running on Linux.

Within the application setup the "Type of Resource was yet set to Agnostic.

After changing this to Microsoft OneDrive, logging out and back into a webi session, we were able to get pased the "Spinning"

However, now we're at the 3338615 - Unable to see OneDrive folders while scheduling report using Microsoft's OneDrive as desti... stage.

This doesn't quite get me to the expected results but the SAP note on this being behavior others have expieranced and it being a "development issue" has me thinking the remainign aspect to this will be fixed in a hotfix/patch.
