Web Dynpro error

The programmers have a problem. Everything works fine when they create a Web Dynpro locally on their system connecting back to our R/3 system. When they depoly the program against our EP 6.0 system (on 6.40 SP11), it errors out. They receive the error listed below. The SLD is setup fine and I can create Jco's no problem and I can login, start and stop the system. Anybody have any ideas?

com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDTypeNotFoundException: type extern:com.sempra.model.types.Getlist:com.sempra.model.types.Bapimatlst could not be loaded: com.sap.dictionary.runtime.DdException: TypeBroker failed to access SLD: Error while obtaining JCO connection.

Ok, I found out the problem. I had setup the Jco with SSO and everything worked fine when I tested it but the DynPro did not work. I have removed the SSO and used a UserID and password now everything works fine. Now I need to find out why the DynPro does not work with SSO enabled.

This exception implies that ..you require a message server for meta data to be fetched from R/3. You can define your own Jco from model data and this will work.

But for Dictionary data it will expect you to have RFC metadata connection defined.

At runtime model tries to fetch the dictionary information to check if the model metadata is consistent. If it is not able to retrieve information you would be getting WDType Not Found Exception.

Re-import model and check your Jco conncetions

Hi,

Thanks for the responses. I don't totally understand so let me ask. Is this set up inside the J2EE engine or the Web Dynpro side. Basically if in the WD side you want me to load JCO connections in my local dictionary. Then when I deploy the connections it will read JCO from there. This seems kinda different as I thought using WebDynpro kept you from worrying about connections except for the import of the BAPI's.

Thanks so much

Cheers,

Sounds like a missing SharingRefference to me.
