I have to work on some Crystal Reports in one of our .NET Web Apps.
I installed VS2019 and CRforVS13SP27, and was able to edit the RPT's.
(after other SP versions were flaky!!)
I need to update the datasources, but am getting an error:
After some Googling, I tried adding to the webconfig the useLegacyV2RuntimeActivationPolicy, but that didn't help.
I tried to get the DLL from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64
and placed it in my bin dir of the solution, but that didn't work.
PLEASE HELP!!!
This so far has taken up my entire day!!
Request clarification before answering.
The reason it was fixed after a repair is because that dll was reversioned to 13 from 14.
Repairing fixes the install.

For no reason at all, I just did the reinstall of CRforVS13SP27 and it asked if I wanted to repair, and I did. Now I am able to update the XML Datasource. Go figure?!
