I got informed by SAP consulting, telling me that oracle database 10.2 running with SAP kernel 721 has the encryption. So that I can not access database directly or access via other way without go to SAP process. As I search from internet, I found the database can be access directly as DB does not have encryption, but it may have SAP Secure Storage (SSFS) which is in the layer of filesystem. I understand that it not proper way to do it, but I would like to clarify with SAP consulting.

Hi Pitichai,
SSFS meants to store username&password in file system, but 10g should not able to use SSFS.
And you should able to always connet database like:
conn /as sysdba
conn sapsr3/password etc.
normaly to connet database, and query table, you should able to query table normaly.
And about encryption, the only encryption is told in SAP note 974876 , but this is not often used.
So do normal login to your database, and do query the database table, and if there is any error, let us see what kind of error/
Probably it is permission error, instead of encryption.
Best regards,
James
