Variant Managenent - Public Option Not visibile

Hello Experts,

We are trying to create a CAP application and within that, we are creating one HTML5Module. In this module, we are using SmartFilterBar and SmartTable controls which are mapped with annotations defined at SRV layer within same CAP project.

When we deployed this CAP application on Cloud Foundry, and hosted the HTML5 application on Launchpad service, Variants gets enabled. We are able to save however, we are not getting option to make variant as public.

We need to enable public variants in our app. I checked in Demokit for SmartFilterBar and there this option is coming fine. However, the same code we are using in our app but Public option is not available there.

Any suggestions here ?

Hi John,

We connected with SAP on this and found out that, this feature is currently not available in Cloud Foundry Launchpad service and will be released as part of 2022 Q2 Updates to the service. But the timeline is still tentative.

I have checked 2022 updates but nothing stated about the launchpad variant issue.
