Hi

There is a difference between the no of records in request loaded and no of records shown in Ftable for

records having value type =20 for year 2005 for 0CCA_C11

cube...Pl note the value type =20 records are loaded once in begining of the year..

why so?

Regards

Padmanabh

Not as sure about 0CCA_C11 (Infocube?) off the top of my head do you mean 0CCA_C01? - Which cube and datasources are you using..

Value type 20 is Plan and 0CO_CCA_1 extractor splits the record in the extractor. Have you looked into Currency Type? I suspect you would have a multiple of the original since it would split into different currency type record 0curtype of

00 document currency,

10 company code currency

20 controlling area currency

30 group currency..

Chances are, you have 3x the records...

Hoe this helps and free free to assign points if it is useful.

hi..

thanks a lot for quick response..,but

1. Data is not compressed

2. Exctraction is done using only one currecy type..i,e 20..so no duplicate

Is there something called aggregation ( apart from regular cube aggregates),if so ,what is that

Hi Padmanabh,

In your Cube > Manage can you see the requests and scroll to the right to see the columns: Transferred Records and Added Records. The number of Added Records should add up to those in the Fact table.

Hope this helps...

Uh oh....well are you sure that the fact table has just value type 20 records...

I would suggest you go to infocube content or listcube in this instance rather than F table since you need to Count with the exact filtering condition you used in the extraction : dates, value type, currency type, version, etc...

Also what is the exact numbers you got? If we know the scale of the difference, there may be more ideas.

hi..

im ensuring Ftable reading by keying in Dim id' s for Value type=20..

Also i see difference constant diff of 73k records for every period...for yr 2005...but for yr 2004,fact table records are matching with no records in request id.

Hi Padmanabh,

Is the data of the cube compressed? Or are you just referring to one single request?
